Woodstock is a drop-dead gorgeous village in Vermont that is set among the banks of the Ottauqueechee River. Named “The Prettiest Small Town in America” by the Ladies Home Journal magazine, the streetscape, lined with general stores, farmers markets and booksellers, evokes a far simpler and slower time.
This photograph, showcasing quaint residences along Pleasant Street adjacent to Tribou Park, is reminiscent of that theme. Muted pastels of the houses bathe the landscape and blend with the saturated yellows and greens of the trees and shrubs. A splash of patriotic red, white and blue provide a sense of Americana.
